QED Career Launchpad

QED's Career Launchpad

How does the QED Career Launchpad work?

People train at QED to learn our technical content and soft skill curriculum to become expert reservoir engineering technicians, an important role in the energy industry.  Training modules are facililtated in-person at our Houston office.  Next available cohorts begins on June 4, 2024.  Check our success stories here or on our YouTube.

How much does it cost to train at QED?

Participants of the QED Career Launchpad get their training costs covered by QED.  QED will make a return on our investment when we place candidates in their first role in the energy industry; QED is paid by the hiring company.  Where you go from there is up to you!

The QED Career Launchpad is a competitive program.  What does that mean?

Not all candidates that begin our training program are able to complete the training program.  Historically, 50% of the candidates we have invited to join the training program have successfully completed it.  This is a fast-paced, intense learning program.  We give quizzes about every three to four days, and we ask candidates to make a 90% or higher on each quiz to stay in the training program.  Our goal is to put QED's time and resources behind the candidates that we believe will be successful in a career in the upstream energy industry; therefore, we ask candidates to pass a drug test and background check.  Additionally, we do our best to impart second-to-none soft skills and professionalism standards for the industry, and we require candidates to trust our process.  Only candidates that adhere to the soft skill training that we impart can stay in the program.  Finally, we only want to put our resources behind people that want a career in the energy industry.  This means that if you don't really want a job, QED isn't the place for you.  At QED, we all want great careers for the candidates and we want them now.

Want the specifics?

QED makes experts by training candidates the technical and soft skills required to perform the role of reservoir engineering technician.  This in-demand role requires software and industry knowledge as well as second-to-none professionalism.  The QED Training Modules include Introduction to Oil and Gas, ARIES, PHDwin v2, PHDwin v3, QGIS, data analytics, production and accounting data analysis, and so much more.  Check more details here
